Creamy Baked Macaroni and Cheese

1. Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF.
2. Cook the pasta according to package directions, adding 2 tsp of salt to the water. Drain and transfer to a large bowl.
3. Mix in melted butter and sour cream until the pasta is fully coated.
4. Add 2 cups of cheddar cheese and 1 cup of mozzarella to the pasta, mixing until well combined.
5. Grease a baking dish and layer half of the noodles. Top with 1 cup cheddar cheese and 1 cup mozzarella. Pour 1 cup of half and half over the layers.
6. Add the remaining noodles to the dish and top with the remaining cheeses. Pour the remaining half and half over the top. Optionally, sprinkle a little paprika for color.
7. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes or until the macaroni is golden brown. Check for doneness by ensuring there’s no visible half and half in the dish when testing a corner.
8. Allow the macaroni and cheese to set for at least 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy your creamy delight!
